Many times, you have a head or foot board that needs to be mated to bed rails that were not part of the original set and you need to make new rails because the backset of the hook is not deep enough resulting in a gap between the end of the rail and the face of the head / foot board. This space can cause the bed to wobble and squeak. The set includes four .25” by 1.25” steel pins to mount the hook plates. Measure carefully to determine the correct backset for the hook plate then use the hook plate as a template for locating the holes for the mounting pins. The set includes 2 hook plates and 4 pins.
